Writer's BlockI sit on my front porch and try to write. Nothing seems to come to me, even after moving into the warm california sun. I hold a pencil between my thumb and forefinger above my paper, moving it absentmindedly above its whiteness in rapid arcs. The shadow it casts in the mid-afternoon sun draws and erases itself so quickly I can hardly believe where it ever was. I wonder about things that once were, yet never were.Writer's Block
